Stuck and lack motivation?
Are you feeling stuck in some or all areas of your life? Are not you motivated?
Do you find it hard to visualise who or what you want to become?
Do you keep repeating the same thoughts day after day or wanting something different in your life but imagine you will never have it, or talk yourself out of it?
This is what we humans do, we have a thought, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Whatever we think about, generally we end up either talking ourselves out of doing something or end up having a negative thought which then escalates out of control. Before we know it we have convinced ourselves we aren’t good or worthy enough, and even tell ourselves a person doesn’t like us. You then start disliking that person even though you have no idea whether they like you or not. Our mind takes control of us, but we can take it back, we have the power to recognise, we become our thoughts, good or bad.
If I wake at 5.00am to go the gym, but don’t get out of bed straight away, I know my mind will convince me not to go, telling me “it’s too cold, you don’t need to go or I’ll be tired in work”, any excuse. I have learnt that within the first 30 seconds of waking I get up and I don’t give my mind time to tell me otherwise. Why? Because I want to go to the gym, so I don’t let my mind take from me what I want to do. Sound simple? It takes practice recognising what your mind is telling you, but if you want to do something, the power is within you to make the change. If you really want it, Just Do It!
How?
By putting in the work, if you want to achieve your dreams/goals:
Be aware of your thoughts, if you don’t like them, replace them with kind words, be nice to yourself and others, be grateful
Let go of the past and emotional baggage, those thoughts are not doing you any good and you can’t change the past
Be present, here, this very minute, think about what you are doing now, breathing, sitting, reading, listening etc
Once you become aware of yourself, you can start to make changes to the way you think
How?
Meditate, just sit and breathe, if only for five minutes to start, just focus on your breathing
Visualise, see yourself how you would like to be or become
Believe in yourself, it will happen, it really will
You will become what you imagine, you have that power within you!
If you can imagine it, you can achieve it
If you can dream it, you can become it
